If we merely look at the top two app stores, we can see that the Google Play Store has over 3.3 million apps and the iOS App Store has over 2.2 million apps. This counting, however, does not end here.

According to Statista, an average of over 150 new apps are released on the Google Play Store every hour, while over 40 new apps are released on the Apple App Store every hour.

The first and most important step for anyone who wants their app to succeed in this cutthroat competition is to understand their space.
