Many major countries around the world have taken over the latest outbreak Novel Coronavirus (COVID19). Many healthcare experts have released updates to keep the public updated and ready. Coronavirus knowledge is circulating all over the place and it is up to people to read and take precautionary steps to protect themselves from catching the virus. In this blog, we take a deep dive into what you need to know about COVID-19, right from its signs to how it gets transmitted, and what are some specific prevention do’s and don’ts. How Does the COVID-19 Get Transmitted? The researchers have yet to discover the exact mechanisms of virus transmission. Scrub between the fingers and around the nails, carefully. To clean your hands, use hand washers, sanitizers, and alcohol sterilizers, and otherwise don’t touch your nose or mouth. Keep a healthy distance from the sick: Avoid direct physical contact with the sick, particularly those with flu, cold, cough, or breathing difficulties. Cover your mouth: If you are around someone who is coughing or sneezing, keep your mouth covered with masks, fabric, or tissue papers. Remember; use the medical masks if you’re sick warm-up the mask or fabric to sterilize. Thoroughly heat your food: The virus can be transmitted by consuming contaminated animal products. The virus cannot tolerate high temperatures. Therefore, you can properly heat your food before eating it. Seek medical care: Healthcare professionals should provide early medical treatment, including in cases of normal, mild symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, fever, or having trouble breathing. In these cases self-preventive treatment is beneficial. A list of things you should avoid: Touching the face: The virus penetrates our body through the mouth and nose. If you have touched an infected spot, particularly in public places, your hands can get infected. So stop having to brush your face before properly washing them. Direct animal contact: Stop unwanted, direct animal touch. The virus is transmittable from animals to humans. So, you need to take good care of the grooming if you have pets. If you’re sick, don’t travel: Make sure you’re safe before you drive. If not, seek urgent medical attention when you have a headache, coughing, sneezing, stop going to public areas, buses, and sharing taxis. Should not take medicines without a prescription: In COVID-19 infection, taking regular antibiotics does not help. You can only take the medications a healthcare provider prescribes if you feel unwell. Prevention is, as always, better than cure.
